CAME BPT UK is regular and closely monitoring the developing situation taking place in the UK and are proactively taking steps every day to ensure that our customers remain unaffected by any impact upon logistical movement of goods around Europe and beyond.
To safeguard our staff and our overall operation, we are complying with government guidelines, but still keeping the business operational.
Operations & Logistics:This week we mobilised an entire remote operation, including our internal sales teams & area sales managers, technical support, accounts and marketing. Our robust and leading ICT infrastructure provided by our amazingly supportive Italian HQ has allowed us to systematically deploy almost all of our staff to remote working. Today, 85% of the business is operating remotely.
A minimal team are operating within each of our branches to keep the business running smoothly. Our dedicated warehouse team are working as usual, with deliveries operating smoothly.
Collections are available from our branches. However, strict access control measures are in place. Therefore next day shipping is encouraged for all wholesale and distribution partners.
Stock Availability:In line with our recent move to Castle Donington last year, we undertook a considerable investment of our stock profile in the UK. The stock upgrade means at any point we are holding stock in excess of £3.5m.
Furthermore, our stock profile has been further boosted following the news coming in from our HQ that we will receive two extra-large deliveries this week, allowing us to replenish essential lines.
Our stock position is secure and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future. We will be providing weekly updates via email on any potential stock issues we see appearing giving, as much notice as possible to allow all our customers to plan appropriately.
Sales Support:Orders can be placed with our sales team as usual. Many are working remotely, but access to our ordering software is accessible online, and orders dispatched in line with our usual ordering process. Below are the relevant contact details to place an order:
Our area sales managers are now all working from home. They’ve all been instructed to suspend all face-to-face meetings continuing to operate using remote tools such as MS Teams, Skype and WhatsApp video calling. Area sales representatives are contactable below:
Technical Support:In line with the rest of the company, our technical support team have been deployed to work remotely and are readily available to take any enquires you or your customers may have. Contact details for our technical support team are below:
Training:The sensible decision to temporarily suspend all our face-to-face training until 1st May is in place. The reality is that it is likely to be extended.
All training courses that can move online immediately will do so & information on how to book these courses will be made available very soon.
We will also be introducing a series of weekly product webinars available for all customers, engineers, office staff and also our own remote staff.
You will also be able to book one to one on-demand e-training with either of our two dedicated Training Managers to discuss and specific project needs, areas of our product range you would like to go deeper with, or anything else CAME BPT.
Our two dedicated training managers are available and waiting to take your calls for any immediate support you might require:
As you’ll no doubt appreciate, developments with this situation are regularly occurring, and we will do everything within our power to communicate any updates we may have as they happen. CAME BPT UK is operating the day-to-day business as smoothly as possible at full capacity with the current restrictions we have in place.
